Mariah Carey Celebrates ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ Album

Mariah Carey is in a celebratory mood, with the completion of her 30 years in showbiz with the 30th anniversary of her debut album’s release.

Although that was really last year, but the Queen of Hits is still reflecting back on her musical projects through the years, and this time it was the turn of her critically acclaimed LP – The Emancipation Of Mimi.

The songstress took to her social media to share single covers of all the hits from the best-selling album, regarded by many as one of her best studio works.

“Memory lane of The Emancipation of Mimi is chock full o nostalgia for me in the best way,” Mimi stated. “..Thank you for sharing this time with me and for revisiting all these creative extensions of this body of work.”

She further added:

“Particularly loving the Desert Storm remix of Don’t Forget About Us and the Say Somethin’ “worth your while” 🎙️🎙️🎙️ remixes by David Morales! And definitely check out the two bonus tracks (that should have been on the album 🤣) Sprung and Secret Love!! 🦋❤️ #MC30″

The Emancipation Of Mimi was released in the year 2005 and was called a ‘comeback album’ by the singer’s fans, becoming the ‘highest-selling’ release of the entire decade.

It was nominated for a total of 10 Grammy awards and went on to win 3, ending-up her 15-year drought at the ceremony, since her last win 1991.

A true MC classic.
