Whitney Houston has already had a ton of documentaries and films made on her life and her unprecedented rise to prominence in the world of Pop music.
But it is not all seen year, as it turns out.
Apart from the first-ever official biopic coming from the team of the late songstress, which is scheduled for a release next year, another TV special is coming to ABC network – throwing a light on the diva’s rise and her eventual downfall.
The network promises to show ‘deeply private’ video of the singer that fans may not have seen, as the special TV event focuses on her journey and her struggles in the public eye.
Often cited as ‘one of the greatest singers to have ever lived’, Houston’s life has been as much a subject of discussion as her once-in-a-lifetime talent, it would be interesting to what this new documentary has to offer now.
The special event premieres August 11th at 10|9c on ABC.
