Betty White’s passing was certainly one of saddest celebrity demises in recent years.
The actress and Pop culture icon, who can easily be called one of the most loved celeb-figures of the past many years, passed away just a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday on 31 December 2021.
Now among the string of tributes that are about to follow for Ms. White, as the awards-season arrives, Cher has joined the first which is set to air on NBC soon.
The ‘Believe’ singer has rendered her own rendition of the theme song of White’s iconic sitcom – Golden Girls.
Cher has sung ‘Thank You For Being A Friend’ for upcoming TV special ‘Celebrating Betty White: America’s Golden Girl’. The special programme will feature tributes from the likes of – Joe Biden, Ellen DeGeneres, Tina Fey, Jimmy Fallon, Tracy Morgan, to name a few.
