JoJo has seemingly amplified the cause of her feature in a probable Teena Marie biopic in the future.
In the minds of many on internet, the 31 year old serves as the perfect choice to play the late R&B/Soul legend. And now that the discussion among fans has been piling-up, JoJo has added some fuel to the fire (in a good way!).
The talented vocalist has lent her chops to sing a stellar cover of Marie’s old hit ‘Square Biz’.
Unveiling a soulful cover of the 1980-released recording, JoJo was in full vibe as she belted out the classic in the studio, giving fans a tease of what it might ‘sound’ like, if their wish was to come true.

As of now, this remains a wishful thinking and ideation of fans online, but JoJo has previously chimed-in on it and has expressed that she’d be more than open to essay the role of Marie for a biopic.
Would be interesting to see if this actually translates into something bigger. We’ve seen it happen before.
