Madonna VS Janet Jackson: Who Had More Impact In The 90’s Music Scene? Vote Here!

90’s was all about the divas. And while there were plenty of vocal goddesses with big voices piercing through our hearts with their orchestral ballads, there were also two gigantic figures of dance-pop who continued their success of 80’s in this decade as well.

We’re talking about Janet Jackson and Madonna.

Both Pop icons debuted in the 80’s, continued to see success all through the 90’s – even amidst unprecedented popularity of Hip-Hop and with the equal chart-impact of vocal powerhouses like Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton and Mariah Carey.

While Janet started off with her fifth studio album ‘Janet’ in 1993, and then went on to deliver her most critically acclaimed work ‘The Velvet Rope’ in 1997, Madonna too delivered the hits with some of her most iconic albums like – Ray Of Light, Bedtime Stories and Erotica among others.

Madonna also had a starring role in the motion picture adaptation of Evita, which also saw her take-on the ballad ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’.

Meanwhile Janet was also featured in one of her most memorable roles in Poetic Justice, which starred the late Tupac Shakur.

The cultural and musical impact of the two divas was undeniable. But who do you think had the edge over the other?

It is time for you to cast your vote!
