The actor and comedian is reported to be in talks to sign a major deal with Netflix, amounting to a whopping $70 million.

The streaming platform is pulling-in Murphy for a lucrative stand-up comedy deal, as sources connected to the actor further confirm the speculations.



The amount however is still negotiable and is being still decided upon. But nevertheless, it is going to be a major deal, considering Eddie has shied away from stand-up’s for years, and this just might be headlined as his much-awaited comeback to the scene.

Previously Dave Chappelle was given a staggering $60 million for 3 stand-up specials in 2017 while Chris Rock too, got $40 million for 2 specials in 2016.

The big question is – does Murphy still has that bankability to bring in big numbers to justify a check that huge?
