‘Brown Skin Girl’ Is The Most Underrated Song Of Beyonce’s Career & Perhaps Also Her Very Best

Last year’s release of Beyonce’s “bonus soundtrack” for the live-action remake of Disney’s classic – The Lion King, served as an ethnically rich musical masterpiece.

The Lion King: The Gift album did not do as well on the charts as Beyonce’s previous musical projects in her illustrious career, and despite having garnered critical acclaim – did not receive any accolades during the award season.

The singer and performer’s most stand-out cut from the beautifully put together LP was her inspiring mid-tempo, Brown Skin Girl, which wasn’t just the best offering from the album, but could also be deemed one of her all time best singles yet.

Co-produced and co-written by Beyonce, the song was curated as an upliftment to the spirits of black and brown females and captured the emotion to the T, serving as one of Beyonce’s most emotionally captivating songs, in one of her best vocal performances.

The intro by Wiz Kid does not miss the theme at all and serves as a perfect prelude to Beyonce’s entrance to this insatiable bop, as she gives an ode to ramp-diva – Naomi Campbell.

The stellar and absolutely awe-inspiring visual, released through her ‘Black Is King’ project in 2020, serves as a perfect tribute to dark-skinned beauties all over the world, amplifying the emotion behind this stunning creation by Beyonce and her team.

In all it’s greatness, the song clearly serves as not only one of her most under-rated and over-looked tracks, considering how it was almost ignored in the mainstream – as compared to her other releases in the past, but also one of her best, most brilliant songs yet.

Bravo Beyonce!
