Whitney Houston Estate Releases New Video For Her Song ‘One Wish (For Christmas)’ [Watch]

Christmas is right around the corner and Mariah Carey is not the only diva who has a string of new holiday projects out.

Legacy Recordings along with the late Whitney Houston’s estate has also unveiled a brand new tribute-ish, lyric video to her 2003 released Christmas song, ‘One Wish’.

The single had served as the title track to her first ever Holiday album with the same name, which came out when she was still in the midst of her personal tribulations.

“Whitney’s classic performance — an uplifting soulful plea for hope, peace, and unity on Christmas Day — provides the soundtrack for an animated holiday short film by filmmaker Katia Temkin in the song’s first official music video,” Legacy Recordings said of the new video.

Legacy further stated:

“Whitney’s timeless message in “One Wish (For Christmas)” is more relevant in 2020 than ever. “If there were no presents/Waiting on Santa’s sleigh/What would I wish/For Christmas,” she asks before answering, “I would pray for hope and unity/On Christmas day/If I had one wish for Christmas/There would be joy and peace here on earth/If I had one wish for Christmas this year/We would all come together as one.””

The very simply put-together lyric video, features some holiday-inspired animations along with small cut-outs of Houston’s classic music videos from the past.

Here’s some dose of soul-filled Christmas music, in the midst of all that’s Pop right now:
