Whitney Houston and Brandy’s Iconic Cinderella Movie Is Finally Coming To Disney+

Nearly 23 years after it’s release, Whitney Houston and Debra Martin Chase’ landmark rendition of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella is landing itself on Disney+.

The 1997 released made-for-television flick broke grounds by introducing to the world it’s first black Cinderella, with the RnB princess Brandy reprising the role.

In a multi-racial cast filled with Caucasian Americans, Asian Americans and African Americans, with Houston – who co-produced the venture with Chase, reprising the iconic role of the Fairy Godmother, the movie made history during the year of it’s telecast, by becoming one of the most viewed programmes of the year.

The Disney produced venture is now finally coming to the network’s streaming platform, as confirmed earlier today.

The celebrated version of our favorite fairy-tale arrives on midnight February 12 to Disney+.
