19 year old Ronda Felton moved American Idol judge Lionel Richie to tears.
The budding singer auditioned for the latest season of the show, and delivered a stellar rendition of the powerful Dreamgirls ballad ‘One Night Only’, which instantly had Lionel wiping away tears.
Ronda, who hails from Milwaukee, Wisconsin – also detailed the story of her difficult childhood, which garnered her several advices from the judges about ‘keeping on’ and being strong.
Wiping away tears of joy, for finally making it to the iconic show’s stage, Ronda was overwhelmed as she told everyone how she was raised by a single mother, who struggled to make ends meet despite multiple jobs.
The mother-daughter duo, who also had to endure being homeless in the past, had arrived to the audition together and they were both bursting out with tears, as the young Ms. Felton was given her ticket to Hollywood.
