While names like Whitney Houston, Madonna and Janet Jackson – continued their magnanimous success of the 80’s as they transitioned into this new modern decade, the 90’s also gave birth to two of the most well-known divas in Pop music – Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, both of whom debuted between 1990-1991.

In the following years, more females became bigger curating enduring hits and legacies, namely – Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Shania Twain, LeAnn Rhimes, Lauryn Hill, Alanis Morissette – to name a few.
