Released in the year 1997 as part of the soundtrack for the biggest movie event of the decade – ‘My Heart Will Go On’ was destined to be a classic.
The song was featured on the OST of James Cameron’s Titanic and it instantly became a classic for Pop balladeer Celine Dion, who brought life to words of Will Jennings with her powerhouse vocals.
A flawless vocal performance in one of most fascinating and theatrical Pop ballads of all time, Dion vocals were goosebumps-inducing.
The song was composed by – Walter Afanasieff, James Horner and Simon Franglen. Horner also produced the rest of the soundtrack and score for the film.
The song topped the charts in more than twenty-five countries and it ranks as one of the biggest selling songs of all time by a female artist, right behind Whitney Houston’s 1992-released – I Will Always Love You – which was another iconic song from a movie soundtrack.
The song won it’s writers and Dion, nearly all awards of that year – including an Oscar, a Golden Globe and four Grammy awards.
