In a resurfaced interview with Howard Stern from 2003, celebrated director, Quentin Tarantino, is heard defending film director Roman Polanski’s rape and sexual conduct with a 13 year old girl, stating – “she wanted to have it.”
“He didn’t rape a 13-year-old,” Tarantino told Stern. “It was statutory rape. That’s not quite the same thing. He had sex with a minor, all right. That’s not rape. To me, when you use the word rape, you’re talking about violent, throwing them down.”
The “Kill Bill” director further insists that it wasn’t forced as the girl “wanted to have it” and “was down to party with Roman.”
When questioned why Polanski couldn’t have tried to stay away from creating a sexual relation with a minor girl, Tarantino simply said – “He likes girls.”
Clearly the man does not understand the legal position of a minor when it comes to “consenting” for a sexual relation with an adult – that when it comes to 13 year old kids, getting a “yes” or a “no” is irrelevant as consent in this case does not have any legal standing.
Polanski was charged with raping a 13 year old girl back in 1977 – however the filmmaker absconded from the country before his sentencing could even begin.Thoughts?
