Whitney Houston Estate Celebrates Historic Sales Record, With Tribute Video Feat. Mariah Carey, Kelly Rowland and more!

Whitney Houston’s legacy earned her a major feat earlier this week, as she posthumously became the first and only black artist in history to achieve 3 diamond-selling albums in the united states.

No other artist of color before her – male or female, has earned that title yet and she ranks as the second only female, after Shania Twain, among barely half-a-dozen of people who have had 3 or more diamond albums in music history, thus far.

To announce this victorious and history-making feat, Houston’s estate put together a video-tribute with some of the vocalist and artists who have been inspired by the powerhouse singer, since she first stepped into the scene in 1985.

With the likes of Mariah Carey, Kelly Rowland and Jessie J, among others, speaking on the profound influence the late songstress has had on them and on Pop culture, in general, the video serves as yet another reminder of why Houston is one of the most influential musical figures to have come out in the past 100 years of music.

Yet again, Congratulations to the late and great Ms. Houston for this ground-breaking and historic achievement.
