Timbaland is still keeping his hopes high for bringing two of the most iconic voices of the 80’s together for an episode of VERZUZ.
They are – Sade and Anita Baker.
The record-producer and the brains behind the ‘hit vs hit’ webcast spoke about the possibility of bringing the two R&B forces together, only to celebrate the duo’s musical contribution to the industry.
It is the second time he’s bringing up the names of the two divas, after earlier teasing us with the idea some months ago.

Now, in a recent conversation with the show’s co-founder Swizz Beatz, speaking on their ‘dream verzuz’ battles, Timbaland once again asked for the two ladies to be given their due credits through the show.
Here’s what he said on the subject:
“We’ve got to give Anita her flowers to tell this woman just how much her music’s done for me. We can’t leave this world without Anita Baker or celebrating Sade.”
If it is going to be a celebration of music between the two divas – the way it previously turned out for Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight, we say – bring it on!
