Brandy is no doubt one of Disney’s most iconic and memorable princesses ever.
The singer and performer was etched forever in our hearts, when she blazed our television sets as the first black Cinderella, in a multi-racial telling of the classic story, produced by her mentor and icon – the late Whitney Houston.
More than 2 decades since setting that benchmark and opening the door, Brandy is set to return to Disney to sing as a princess again.
The now 42 year old will be recording new song ‘Starting Now’ for Disney’s new venture ‘Ultimate Princess Celebration’.
Brandy made the announcement on her social media, with a snap of herself in the studio, recording the new song from the television mega-special, set to premiere in August on the Disney Channel.
