It has been widely reported over the years that Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston shared quite a bond with each other.
The two shared an unparalleled level of stardom, which put an immense pressure on them to act in accordance with their reputation through their careers. An attribute which is said to have contributed to both their demise, but also brought them closer during their peak.
The duo shared these similarities, and their level of fame, made them understand each other as friends back in the day.
But do you know, there are also reports that suggest that Michael really did want to date Whitney, during the 80’s?
It has been rumoured that the King Of Pop felt for Miss Houston who scorched the music scene with her debut album in 1985, but he apparently held back as his older brother Jermaine Jackson was already in a fling with the ‘Saving All My Love For You’ singer.
Jermaine was already married at that time, so it couldn’t last long for the two – but reports suggest that it apparently drove MJ astray.
Take it with a pinch of salt, but this interesting video by the channel ‘the detail’, alleges that the two even had a ‘secret affair’, so much so that he even wanted to marry the fellow-singer.
But for whatsoever reason, that didn’t happen, and Whitney ended up marrying RnB singer Bobby Brown – who has often been targeted for contributing to her downward spiral into drug use.
