Ever since Talent shows have started (and we’re going back to the times of the first seasons of a show like American Idol), the iconic Whitney Houston – has been quite a gold standard among participating contestants.

Su much so that even Simon Cowell, the infamous judge of many of these talent shows that have sprouted from his production company, was once heard not only calling the songstress ‘the best female singer of all time’, but also the reason why he curated a show like ‘Idol’ in the first place.

To search for that ‘gold standard’ of a voice.

Now whether or not they have found anything close in that process is a different story, but time and again we get to witness Houston’s mammoth influence in generations of singers who appear on the show to showcase their vocals talents.
