Internet Goes Gaga Over I Wanna Dance With Somebody Movie Clip With Naomi Ackie As Whitney Houston

Whitney Houston’s first-ever official big screen biopic is soon to hit the big screens next month. And ahead of the film’s release, Soni Pictures has been giving fans plenty of tease from the Kasi Lemmons directorial

Spearheaded by Houston’s musical mentor Clive Davis, the film entitled ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ features relatively fresh-faced actress Naomi Ackie in the role of the late songstress, and it has already generated quite a buzz.



The latest teaser clip unveiled from the film, featured Ackie recreating one the most iconic live performance in not just Houston’s career but also in television history.

 

It was when the singer took to the Super Bowl amidst Persian Gulf War, and sang the most inspiring version of the American National Anthem – Star Spangled Banner.

From the head-band, to the tracksuit, and the expressions and even the mannerisms, Naomi and director Kasi have recreated the iconic moment pretty beautifully, and have captured the essence of the legendary performance in detail.
