All Lil Nas X did was take to his social media and get in the celebratory mood of Halloween, by transforming into one of his favorite rap idols – Nicki Minaj.
But that, apparently, hasn’t gone down well with those in the business – who seem to be a bit too insecure about their masculinity.
First of them was rapper Dave East, who took a dig at Nas over his recreation of Minaj’s iconic look from ‘SuperBass’ music video.
NAS MARAJ !!!

āAnd yāall was mad at me about this n***a,ā Dave East wrote on an Instagram post, with a screenshot of Nas’ Halloween look as Minaj.
āBati mon bun up!!!! I gotta move to Jamaica, @PopcaanMusic on my wayyyyy chubble.ā – he further stated.
Apparently, ābatty manā is a homophobic slur in Jamaica – a country where sexual minorities are still fighting for their basic right to live.
Responding to the same, Nas simply asked East to ‘leave him alone’, insisting that he does nothing but ‘tweet and make bangers.’
āItās ābatty manā n****s canāt even be homophobic [slur] the proper way smh butchering the hell out of the patois,ā Lil Nas X responded along with screenshots of Dave Eastās since-deleted posts. āBro I donāt bother a soul in this industry. All I do is tweet and make bangers. Leave me alone Damn.ā

Sad to see such homophobia is still thrown in the faces artists in showbiz.
But good to see Nas is standing his ground.
